I'm trying to turn things around this week, and not just because I'm running a 5k this weekend.
I went straight from work to the gym last night because I've figured out that once I make it home, I'm much less likely to go running or go to the gym. And this morning I actually woke up early and went to the gym BEFORE work (what?!? I know! I was very proud of myself.) and had an awesome hour of strength training.
Then, at work today, this arrived for me in the mail:

I had completely forgotten that I had pre-ordered this book through amazon, so the book's arrival was a nice little surprise. I'm taking it as a sign that I need to suck it up and get out there and keep running.
I need to focus on the things I like about running (the way I feel after completing a run) and push through the things I don't particularly care for (the way I feel at the beginning of a run).
